YouTube – Disco

YouTube’s new Disco project could possibly make iTunes Myspace obsolete. How many times do you go to YouTube to listen to music? I know that if I don’t have it in my own personal library of music I go to YouTube just to listen to the song. Now if I want watch the music video then all the better. I just started playing around with Disco but already it seems like a pretty solid extension – as I would expect from Google.

However this new extension does have it’s fair share of issues. One of them being that the music isn’t always the best quality, maybe it’s because I’m listening to My Chemical Romance? No couldn’t be they are are pretty good band in my opinion. But that’s what happens if you have user content mixed together in a playlist, but this is still an infant and I expect to see some pretty cool features later down the road. Maybe for music videos you’ll be able to give it a thumbs up or thumbs down for being on Disco?

At any rate this is a very cool YouTube extension / feature and I plan on using it probably over anything other music service I’ve used. It already seems solid and I know over time it will only get better. What are you waiting for, check out Disco now and let me know what you think of it.
