Zipper Interactive’s Ben Jones said that it came down to a certain lack of maturity on Microsofts network, which is why you wont find MAG on it. I find this really amusing since just a month ago when Left 4 Dead 2 was released for the Xbox 360, it was not made for PS3 because the community wasn’t that good.
Sure Xbox Live has it’s flaws, there is a lot of trash talking that goes on at times. But isn’t that what online gaming is all about? Talking smack to the other player from the comfort (and safety) of your own home? Maybe PSN doesn’t have this “maturity” issue because over half of the people that play on Sony’s network don’t own a mic, and thus they can not talk smack to anyone.
Sorry I thought MAG was developed for PS3 because of technical reasons, not for community reasons. I already wasn’t a fan of MAG, but now I hope this game fails in an epic manner. So what do you think about this decision? Do you feel it was a wise one, or a very very stupid one? Let me know in the comments!
