Trillian – The best IM client ever.

Have you ever wanted to take your AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Twitter, Facebook and use them all from the same program? There are plenty of reasons to want to use one program to access all of your Instant Messenger services. It will help your computer run faster by not using as much RAM or CPU processes. It will keep you more organized because you can see all of your contacts in one window. I only use Trillian for this very reason.

What does Trillian Support?

Trillian supports a wide range of chat clients. You can use it for Windows Live, Yahoo!, MyspaceIM, AIM, Google, ICQ, Jabber, Skype, and IRC. That’s just for using it to chat with other people. Now you can also use it to check your Email, Facebook and Twitter. That’s a total of 12 services that can be ran using the same program!

Why should you use Trillian?

It uses a small amount of resources. As I write this it is only using 13mb of RAM, which is about as much as you would use having one or two of the services Trillian supports, open using it’s own program. By having more RAM your computer can have other programs opened, and will run faster. (especially if you don’t have a lot of RAM to spare) Another reason to use Trillian is because not everyone has AIM. Likewise not everyone has Windows Live or Yahoo! or MyspaceIM. With Trillian you can have all of these services and you can stay in touch with more people because of it, while (again) not using any extra system resources.
