Samsung LED LCD 3D HDTV C9000 is amazing

Wow that was quite the tongue twister huh? Samsung is releasing this amazing LED LCD TV sometime in 2010 and anyone that can afford it will be very pleased. The TV is thin, it can play 3D video and it’s got a touch screen remote that can play video.

Thin is IN!

Whoever said that size matters in the sense that bigger is better obviously never met an engineer at Samsung. The Samsung LED LCD C9000 is the only TV which is being classified as “Ultra Thin” and for good reason. The screen portion of the TV looks to be about as wide as #2 pencil while the base looks to be around 1″ thick. How on earth could they cram so much TV in such a small amount of space? They took the majority of the TV’s hardware and stuck it into the base of the TV. Now before you get angry that the TV can’t be wall mounted think again, because that base is doubling as a wall mount! So you don’t have to worry about spending another $100+  to mount this bad boy to the wall, and there is a chance you may not even have to worry about finding studs to mount it too. Don’t quote me on this as I have not been able to find the complete specs for the TV but there is a decent chance it will be light enough to not need studs, granted for what this will cost I’d find studs no matter what.

In the pictures below you can see the back of this TV, and you may notice that it lacks inputs. However if you look closely at the base of the TV you will notice they actually stuck the inputs in the base. Talk about thinking outside the box, I think this is the first TV to ever have the inputs off of the main TV. Of course I’m pretty sure the C9000 is the first (consumer) TV that is this thin too.

TV in your remote? SAY WHAT????

Don’t you hate when you want to watch Braveheart on Blu-Ray while your significant other wants to watch Marley and Me on Cinemax? Well no longer will your lover need to explain bruises because now they can watch their shows on the remote! This remote looks insane, it’s a full touch screen remote and why waste that technology? Samsung felt the same way and gave you the ability to watch TV on it. I can’t say I’d find a great amount of use for this, but who knows it could catch on.

What else does this remote do? It lets you preview the shows before you select it (something I think is pretty cool, and I probably would use) So lets say you want to watch Mythbusters but aren’t sure if it’s an episode you have seen a million times, you can preview it and know whether or not you want to change the channel or keep watching Family Guy.

The Price?

Well there is no price on this TV yet however I would be surprised if it went for anything less than $5,000 when it first gets to the consumer. Most likely this will be a TV that will be in the Magnolia section of Best Buy and for the most part no body is going to be buying this just because of the price tag. But for those of you hip hop rappers or slutty actresses this TV is just the TV for you. By the way, Samsung if you want to send me this TV for a review feel free to do so. I can’t guarantee you will get it back though…

    • I believe they start out at 50″ and then go up from there.
