Microsoft Releasing Windows 7 Anti-Piracy Update This Month

500x arghwin2 Microsoft Releasing Windows 7 Anti Piracy Update This Month

Microsoft is going to release a new *IMPORTANT* update later this month which will fight against the large number of us running a pirated copy of Windows 7. You will prompted to install this update known as “Windows Activation Technologies Update” which you will then promptly tell to not download.

There have been numerous cracks for Windows 7 since it’s release, one of which was an OEM crack. OEM installs are what Dell, Gate Way and HP use. Now if the people who cracked Windows 7 via the OEM used anything that those companies have also used then there is a good chance those will be flagged by Microsoft as illegal copies. So it would just be best to flat out not install the update when it asks you if you want to.

If you do install the update and you are found to have installed a pirated copy of Windows 7 you will not lose anything important nor will you be in trouble. You will just not be able to pick a background anymore, and it will be a plain boring one. You will also be alerted about how you need to get a legal copy of the operating system.

I don’t know about you but I will not be installing this update.

    • Windows 7 is 100x better than XP and 1,000,000x better than Vista. It is very very nice I have to say. Been using it since it was released.
