Are you ready for this? The Halo Reach Beta will begin on May 3rd of 2010.
The announcement was made official by Microsoft and re-confirmed by IGN. Halo Reach will be the 5th installment in the Halo series and while there isn’t a whole lot known about the game, it is not going to feature Master Chief, which really doesn’t make the game Halo if you ask me..

It might not be a all hail the chief thing like the first three games but lets just hope its not another replay of ODST. I want at least 16vs16 multi-player D: and not another posh story thats bleak and flashbacky; Lets start in one time period and flow forward in it instead of killing things that already happened.

Yeah I’m unsure how well the game can do though. For about a decade now Halo has been known for the Chief and now they are adding in new Spartans. I can’t say I would want to play through campaign as I doubt I will get attached to any of the characters. At least in ODST I didn’t get attached what so ever.
