Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 WILL have dual-wielding.
So you’ve played Halo and you enjoyed dual-wielding your weapons. You played Counter Strike and loved dual-wielding your weapons. You played quite a few other FPS games and chances are, you shot at someone with one gun in each of your hands. So why can’t you in Call of Duty? Well come November 11th you will be able to. At a GameCrazy convention today Community Manager FourZeroTwo stepped over a pair of Desert Eagles when ‘Akimbo’ and the picture popped up showing the guns, the crowd went crazy insisting to pick it up. So he did.
Now before we start getting flame happy this system has been balanced to the point where it makes me a little sad. You can only dual-wield side arms, which makes sense other than perhaps dual-wielding an Uzi. You can not zoom in while using Akimbo and also your accuracy goes down as well. This to me might be just a little bit much to me, or at least enough where I probably wont be using Akimbo all too much. But if you were worried about something like dual-wielding Needlers and getting completely owned out of no where, you don’t need to worry.
Also there is a pretty good chance that Akimbo will be a new perk in the game. Which is fine to me, I definitely wont be dual-wielding then however, I don’t see the point in wasting a perk on that and since I have no real intention to use Akimbo much anyway I wont be upset if does become a perk. However it could present a problem to those of you that want to dual-wield but don’t want to waste a perk on it, and for you people I feel for you, and who knows maybe this will just be a new game-play feature in the game.
Are you excited about Akimbo or perhaps very upset or like me, where you don’t really care too much.
