BlackTop Vinyl

I never would have heard of this band if it wasn’t for one fateful day at a local Battle of the Bands. BlackTop Vinyl is a local band from Chicago, Illinois. They are very underground not even having 20,000 profile views (I have more than they do…) but the music that they perform is simply amazing. Their sound is pretty unique in my opinion. They have some pretty heavy songs but then the next track is a totally soft song but you can still tell it’s being performed by the same band. Their myspace only has 3 songs up, they do have an EP out called The Jester and their myspace page tells you how to purchase it (I got mine for $6) and I’m very pleased with the entire CD which contains 7 tracks. I’m not sure if this band is still together or not but either way the music they created was amazing and everyone should check them out. My favorite song is The Jester (just in case you only feel like listening to 1 song by them, that’s the song you should listen to.)
