Avoid Lexicon Blu-Ray players at all cost!

Be very careful if you are in the market to buy a new (and expensive) Blu-Ray player. Lexicon’s BD-30 is going for $3500 when you can purchase the same Oppo BDP-83 for $500. No really, it’s the exact same thing, all Lexicon did was throw a shell over it to make it their own product.

What will happen with Lexicon? Nothing has been said yet, however my guess would be Oppo will end up owning Lexicon if they can find the right lawyers. I’m not an expert in law related stuff, but something tells me what Lexicon did was very, very, very illegal. And even more stupid that they give it out to review to a website that takes apart all their review products.
